Vernon Ah Kee is a co-owner of Iscariot Media, Vernon Ah Kee graduated from Queensland College of Art – Griffith University with Honours. He briefly lectured in the BVA Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art, before leaving to pursue a full-time art practice. Since that time, Vernon has exhibited throughout Queensland, Australia and overseas, including the Sydney Biennale in 2008 and Venice Biennale in 2009.
Lisa M Buxton is a Tweed-born Goori, Sydney-based educator. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) from Griffith in 1991, a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) from the Australian Catholic University, a Graduate Diploma of Aboriginal Studies from the University of New England and a Masters of Social Policy from the University of Technology, Sydney. Lisa is currently undertaking a Masters of Education at Notre Dame University in Sydney.
Leesa Watego is co-owner of Iscariot media. Leesa completed a Bachelor of Commerce in 1991, and began her first business, Nyumba Goori Studies Consultancy with Lisa Buxton in 1994. Later, Nyumba evolved to become Blacklines Publications and in 2012 became Iscariot Media. Leesa is also a facilitator/presenter for Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship has been a Director of the South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce for the past 3 years.
Matrisse Watego is a Brisbane-born Murri. Matrisse completed a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) and has since been the full-time carer of her two young children. Matrisse works with Iscariot Media in distributing publications for The Critical Classroom and Dark and Disturbing.
